Portugal at Euro 2024: Teams in group, fixtures, schedule, path to final in Germany
Cristiano Ronaldo will captain Portugal at Euro 2024 with major speculation that it could be his last tournament hurrah with the national team.Ronaldo has previously hinted at his desire to lead Portugal at the 202 FIFA World Cup, but as he turns 41 before that tournament kicks off, his chances of making it remain uncertain.
Euro 2024 is certain to be his last showing at a European Championship with Roberto Martinez's team powering their way to qualification as the only team with a 100 per cent winning record.
Ronaldo still garners the limelight for Portugal, but Martinez has a deep and experienced squad including Premier League stars such as Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes.
