Revealed: when Liverpool are expected to start contract talks with Salah
Liverpool are looking to tie down Mo Salah to a new long-term contract amid heavy interest from the Saudi Pro League clubs.
As per David Ornstein, the Reds are planning to hold talks over a new contract after the winger returns from Africa Cup of Nations duty.
Liverpool were initially keen on starting discussions over a new deal after the turn of the year, but Salah is focused on representing Egypt in the AFCON.
Mo reportedly retains the appetite to play football at the peak of European football, so a possible summer exit is not certain at all.
Salah’s current deal expires in June 2025, which is why the Reds are so keen to tie him down to a new deal before this season ends.
The 31-year-old has been on fire for Liverpool this season, scoring 18 goals and providing nine assists in 27 appearances.
