Man Utd have secret weapon to sign £60m Jadon Sancho replacement in January
Manchester United may have a secret weapon to help sign their potential replacement for Jadon Sancho in January.
Sancho hasn't played for the Red Devils since coming on as a substitute during a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on August 26, following a public fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag.
The United boss accused the winger of having a poor attitude in training, sparking a long-winded social media post from Sancho, labelling Ten Hag's comments "untrue".
After refusing to apologise to the Dutchman for his social media outburst, Sancho has been training away from the rest of the squad, with a January exit firmly on the cards.
The 23-year-old has been rumoured with a move to Juventus and Saudi Arabia, as he seeks a way out of Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, the tricky wideman has been linked with a sensational return to former club Borussia Dortmund, less than two years after he left the Bundesliga side.
Any move is likely to be a loan, but Dortmund are open to offering forward Donyell Malen in exchange, according to Football Transfers.
The 24-year-old has scored five and registered two assists across all competitions this season and looks to be the type of player United need to recruit this January.
The Dutchman has been a regular starter under Edin Terzic this term, although Dortmund would reportedly be open to selling him if a suitable offer arrived.
Team Talk claim that the German club have slapped a £60 million price tag on Malen, but it is not clear whether they would be willing to offer him as pat of a swap deal for Sancho.
However, United’s fruitful relationship with the SEG agency could come in very handy during any potential negotiations.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed Malen joined the SEG group in late-November - the same agency who oversaw Ten Hag’s switch from Ajax to Old Trafford in April 2022.
In addition, loanee Sofyan Amrabat and summer signing Rasmus Hojlund are also part of the agency.
