Man Utd draw up three-man transfer shortlist ahead of January as Fabrizio Romano confirms talks held
Manchester United have reportedly put together a three-man shortlist ahead of the January transfer window.
During the summer transfer window, United brought in the likes of Andre Onana, Mason Mount, Rasmus Hojlund, Sofyan Amrabat, Sergio Reguilon and Jonny Evans.
However, Erik ten Hag’s men have had a below-par start to the 23/24 campaign as they are currently seventh in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, their Champions League campaign came to a disappointing end after losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.
Ahead of the January transfer window, it has been claimed that United have drawn up a three-man shortlist.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano via The United Stand, United have spoken with representatives of Timo Werner, Serhou Guirassy and Donyell Malen.
However, a decision regarding Anthony Martial is required before a possible deal.
Romano said: “Donyell Malen wants to leave Borussia Dortmund, he wants to try a new experience so Malen could be a possibility. He has a new agent now as well.
“Timo Werner could be a possibility too, Timo Werner is open to considering options around Europe and is open to returning to the Premier League in January.”
MALEN - WERNER - GUIRASSY#mufc have had discussions with the agents of these three forwards, according to @FabrizioRomano.

He added: “And then there is Guirassy, Guirassy is probably the typical opportunity for the January market with his release clause which is already valid.
“So it is all good to go in case any club wants to go and pay €17.5 million to Stuttgart. The German club is really trying to push the player to stay at the club and then leave in the summer transfer window.
“Man United spoke to representatives of these three players that’s for sure. So the conversation was there. They are looking at options. I think it is going to be important to see what happens with Anthony Martial in the January window, to see what kind of player Manchester United want to bring in.”
