Kai Havertz Snubs Ex Chelsea Team-Mates As He Names The Best Striker He’s Ever Played With
New Arsenal star Kai Havertz has snubbed his former Chelsea teammates and pointed out Gabriel Jesus as the best striker he has ever played with.
The Germany international spent three years at Stamford Bridge during which time he played alongside the likes of Romelu Lukaku. Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud.
For his country, meanwhile, Havertz has teamed up with the experienced Thomas Muller but after spending less than six months in the same Arsenal squad as Jesus, he believes the Brazil international is the pick of the bunch.
‘I have to say I think the best. I knew this before as well but now I see it in every training session,’ he told SportDaily.
‘It’s an honour to play with players like this, he’s one of those players who can turn a game around by himself and I think he’s the best.’
Despite Havertz’s claim, Arsenal are said to be considering bolstering their striking department either in January or the summer window with both Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney firmly on their radar.
Jesus, who scored in Wednesday night’s 6-0 thrashing of Lens, insists he is not distracted by speculation linking Arsenal with moves for a potential upgrade in his position.
