Just one point clear: final standings in Liverpool's Europa League group
Liverpool have secured their place at the top of Group E in the Europa League with one game to go, so their 2-1 defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise does not matter in a grander scheme.
In the knockout stage, the Reds are joined by Toulouse, the other side that has defeated them.
The difference is that they will be required to play an extra game against a third-placed team from a Champions League group. Liverpool have avoided the need to play two extra games in February.
Union Saint-Gilloise are going to the Conference League, while LASK can focus on domestic competitions after finishing last here.
