'Even my grandmother realised it': Di Maria on Messi ignoring Lewandowski's handshake at World Cup
Angel di Maria has opened up on Leo Messi ignoring Robert Lewandowski's handshake at the 2022 World Cup.
"I realised it, you realised it, my grandmother realised it. These are things of his, that sometimes stay inside him. When you talk about him, he ends up throwing it to you in a note or he does it to you in a court.
"He talks like that, in that way. I think it is normal. There are people who sometimes don't respect him and don't realize that he is the best player in history. You shouldn't say anything to him because he ends up getting fired up and it's worse."
On Friday, Messi revealed he didn't shake Lewandowski's hand because he was angry with the Pole. Leo explained he didn't like what Robert said about his words at a Ballon d'Or ceremony.
Di Maria's words just serve as another proof: angry Messi is a very special kind of Messi and perhaps the most dangerous one on and off the pitch.
