'Man United did not sign me to play the Ajax way': Ten Hag opens up on his philosophy

When asked about what his philosophy is as Man United manager, Erik ten Hag said: “Manchester United did not sign me to play the Ajax way.

“They signed me to win. To develop a project the way I did at Ajax. To win games in an adventurous way, and I think I have been able to show that in multiple games.”

By these comments, it is rather obvious that Ten Hag does not plan to implement the Ajax style of football at Old Trafford.

He is trying to get the Red Devils to play the exciting, attacking football they are expected to, but his players haven’t really been able to do that much this season.

The Dutchman got his team to start performing well after a poor start last season and aims to do the same this time around too.
