Ten Hag on Maguire and Onana: 'Satisfaction leads to laziness. They are hungry'
Harry Maguire and Andre Onana staged a solid comeback in the 1-0 win over FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.
Despite being ridiculed and critiqued on social media, Onana pulled off an incredible penalty save to keep a clean sheet.
Maguire not just contributed to the win defensively but also scored the only goal of the game. Their turnaround in form could not have come at a better time, with facing Manchester City ahead.
And Erik ten Hag believes these two are just getting started. When asked about the duo has been in training since Tuesday's win, Ten Hag replied: "You need such achievements to get a strong belief.
"When you then cope right with such moments, and that belief in what you are building, then you can [get] even more progress.
"And I think top footballers have such attitudes, that they are not satisfied because satisfaction is going to laziness.
"No, they are hungry and they go into the next game and they want to do even better."
