'I was impressed': Victor Osimhen names former Atalanta player as the most tough defender he has faced

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen had some kind words to say about Tottenham Hotspur's defender, Cristian Romero. These two footballers crossed paths during their time in the Italian league before Romero moved to the Premier League.

The Nigerian international considers former Atalanta player as the most challenging defender he's faced in his career. One time Romero even put Osimhen into the hospital, after two players collided in their match.

Osimhen had only returned from a shoulder injury before that match, but unfortunately for Nigerian he then met Romero.

As quoted by All About Argentina, Osimhen said: "Cristian Romero was really the most difficult defender I have faced. The first time we met, I was impressed by his speed. I experienced very, very intense duels against him. I was shocked.

Romero has indeed established himself as one of the Premier League's finest, becoming a key player for his club. Let's also not forget his crucial role in Argentina's World Cup victory last year. This season, he continues to shine, proving to be a phenomenal asset for Tottenham.
