Why Madrid can afford Mbappe and Davies without having to sell next summer - explained
According to COPE, Real Madrid's combined squad salary bill is €485m while La Liga's wage limit for Los Blancos will be €727m for the next season.
This is great news for all Madridistas: it suggests Real Madrid can spend big next summer without even having to sell. The €242m difference between the limit and the actual wage spending smells Alphonso Davies and... you guessed it, Kylian Mbappe. And maybe even more players!
It doesn't mean Real Madrid won't sell, of course. For instance, Ferland Mendy could leave if Davies arrives at the Bernabeu. The signing of Mbappe would also imply a revision of Madrid's attacking power.
Neither it means that the above-mentioned players will definitely be on Florentino Perez's wishlist in the summer of 2024. However, it's time Madrid supporters stop wondering If the club can afford a certain player. The only question really worth asking is if they need him.
