Sergio Ramos 'rejected Man Utd' to rejoin Sevilla as 'desperate' offer from Erik ten Hag revealed
Sergio Ramos rejected a move to Manchester United before sealing a return to Sevilla, according to reports.
The former Real Madrid defender, 37, left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season after a tricky two years with the Ligue 1 side.
Over the summer, he received a number of offers including a reported £17.1million-a-year proposal from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
However, he opted to join Sevilla instead, having graduated through their academy 20 years ago.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are said to have tabled a bid that was immediately rejected by the Spaniard.
That's according to The Sun, who claim that the Red Devils "made a late play to sign Ramos as the transfer window prepared to shut".
The offer was reportedly worth £73,000-a-week which was promptly turned down by the World Cup winner.
