Partey picks up injury, could miss up to 3 months

Thomas Partey has suffered an injury, the Ghana national team has confirmed.

"Arsenal ace Thomas Partey is left out of the squad due to injury," Ghana's FA said in a statement.

"According to his club, the player picked up an injury in training and could be on the sidelines for a while, however the Black Stars medical teams is monitoring the situation."

The midfielder was not sounded out as a fitness concern by Mikel Arteta in his pre-United press conference. Moreover, Partey was spotted in training earlier on Saturday so he appears to have picked up an injury today.

Journalist Con Harrison says the injury is 'not hamstring', which has troubled Thomas for a few years now. He says that the 30-year-old will be out for three months.

Arsenal haven't confirmed the injury at the moment of writing.
