Mason Greenwood spotted training in Nike boots despite being dropped by sportwear giant
Mason Greenwood is now training with Getafe ahead of his potential debut for the La Liga side at the weekend.
The Manchester United striker was seen with a pair of Nike Mercurial Superfly 4 boots after a session earlier this week.
The sportswear giants dropped the 21-year-old as their athlete last year after he was arrested on charges of rape and assault.
Greenwood, who hasn't signed a new deal with any boot-maker since then, is still using a seven-year-old model in order to to get match fit.
Nike dropped Mason Greenwood after he was arrested on suspicion of rape, assault, sexual assault and making threats to kill.
Nike had previously said it was suspending its relationship with him, but later confirmed that he was no longer a Nike athlete. Greenwood is a Manchester United and England striker who had been endorsed by Nike since 2019.
He is currently suspended by his club until further notice.
