Manchester United announce the signing of GK Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce

Manchester United have officially confirmed the signing of Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce.

The 25-year-old has put pen to paper a long-term deal with the Red Devils and is expected to provide cover for Andre Onana.

Upon signing, Bayindir said:

"It is a huge honour to join Manchester United and become the first Turkish player to represent this incredible club.
"I have a passion for success, and I will give everything to help this special group of players to achieve our ambitions.
"I cannot wait to start working with such an experienced goalkeeping unit. We will support each other and drive high standards every day so that each of us is ready to perform whenever called upon."

The Red Devils have reportedly agreed to pay a fee of around £4.3 million for the shot-stopper who has earned five international caps since 2021.

Bayindir has made 145 appearances across all competitions in his career at Fenerbahce, keeping 44 clean sheets and winning the Turkish Cup last season.
