Erling Haaland Sends Lovely Message to Real Madrid Star Jude Bellingham
Manchester City attacker Erling Haaland has sent former Borussia Dortmund teammate Jude Bellingham words of encouragement following his summer transfer to Real Madrid.
Haaland and Bellingham had been two of the most discussed players in the transfer market while with Dortmund, where the pair struck up a tremendous relationship both on and off the field.
Both attracted high-profile moves, Haaland switching to Manchester City in the summer of 2022 before Bellingham, who is on international duty with England, followed this summer to Real Madrid for a sum of €103 million.
The Norway star began life spectacularly in the Premier League, scoring 36 goals in his first season in the competition, while England’s Bellingham has been equally brilliant for Los Blancos, netting in each of his four games since his switch.
While a rivalry between the pair may brew in the Champions League, for now Haaland is wishing only good things for his former colleague.
Asked by L’Equipe about whether he keeps his eye on his goal scoring rivals such as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Victor Osimhen, he elected to pick out Bellingham for special praise.

“Of course I watch them because I watch a lot of football on TV,” he said.
“By the way, I’ve seen the incredible start Jude Bellingham has had at Real Madrid and I’m really happy for him.
“I'm a football fan, that's what I've always loved and you could say that it takes up all of my time, whether professionally or in my private life.
I like kicking a ball around in the garden with my little sister. But there are so many matches and training sessions that I also have to think about recovering.”
Haaland: Why I chose Man City
Haaland, meanwhile, opened up on why he chose to move to Manchester City when every major European club wanted to sign him.
“Pep Guardiola didn’t have to say much,” he admitted. “The game played by Man City for several seasons spoke for itself. It’s tiki-taka adapted for the Premier League and I wanted to be part of it.
“And I made the best possible choice because we’ve written a page of history.”
