Dominik Szoboszlai's girlfriend ruthlessly trolls Romeo Lavia online after snubbing Liverpool for Chelsea
The girlfriend of Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai has liked a post on Instagram that will certainly anger Chelsea supporters.
Szoboszlai has made a major impression on the Anfield faithful since his move from RB Leipzig this summer, and scored his first Liverpool goal with a long-range screamer against Crystal Palace last week.
The Reds' new number eight has already shown his passing range, ability to run between the lines and create and score chances.
He was one of four midfield additions to the Liverpool squad during the recent summer transfer window, with Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch also making the move to Anfield.
But it could have been even more, had Romeo Lavia decided to switch to Liverpool from Southampton.
The Reds had three bids rejected for the Belgian midfielder by the Championship club, who wanted £50 million for their key asset despite relegation to the second division.
They ended up receiving an even higher sum, with Chelsea swooping in and closing out a reported £58 million deal.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool were interested in submitting a fresh bid of their own, but Lavia decided that he preferred to move to Chelsea.
However, life at Stamford Bridge has not gone to plan for Lavia thus far.
Due to his lack of pre-season minutes for Southampton, and not playing either of their Championship games before his departure, manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed before the 3-0 win over Luton that Lavia is not ready to play first team football.
And he was pictured in the stands during the Blues' 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, still yet to feature for Pochettino's side.
Instagram account LFC Transfers Daily picked up on the photo, sharing it in a split-screen image featuring Szoboszlai.
It captioned the post: "Romeo Lavia can't even make the bench for this Chelsea side. Might not have been the greatest career choice."
The post was liked by Szoboszlai's girlfriend, Fanni Gecsek, who has watched the Hungarian make an instant impact in his Liverpool career.
Whether Lavia can do the same at Stamford Bridge when he returns to full fitness remains to be seen
