BREAKING: Fabrizio Romano confirms PSG agree €90m Kolo Muani transfer
Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani.
There was doubt regarding the move as the Bundesliga side had originally communicated that a deal would not take place unless Hugo Ekitike moved the other way.
The young PSG forward declined a move to Frankfurt and when the window in Germany ended at 5pm, there was concern the transfer would not go through.
However, PSG persisted and have now reached an agreement to sign the France international. As the Bundesliga transfer window is now closed, Eintracht will not be able to sign a replacement.
Bild reported that Kolo Muani could still join PSG before France’s 11pm deadline before RMC Sport confirmed that the Parisians had found a way to complete a deal for Kolo Muani.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now given the move his ‘here we go’ stamp of approval, with PSG reportedly set to pay a fixed fee of €75 million, which could rise to €90m with add-ons.
A five-year deal was agreed several weeks ago and Kolo Muani will be officially announced as a PSG player before the window shuts tonight.
The Frenchman, who starred for his country at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has passed his medical at the Parc des Princes after Eintracht approved the transfer.
According to L'Equipe, PSG were furious with Ekitike earlier in the day, as the former Stade Reims man looked to have stopped a possible move for Kolo Muani.
Eintracht wanted to sign the 21-year-old as Kolo Muani's replacement, but RMC Sport reported that Ekitike rejected three separate offers to join the Bundesliga side.
However, despite being turned down by Ekitike, Eintracht have now sanctioned the sale of Kolo Muani to PSG.
Furthermore, Crystal Palace are now pushing to sign Ekitike and Le Parisien have reported that the Premier League side have submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy for €30m.
