Messi fan sacrifices his job for Leo's autograph, says 'it was worth every second'
An employee at Inter Miami's DRV PNK Stadium was fired on the spot after getting an autograph from Lionel Messi.
According to La Nacion, Cristian Salamanca was contracted to clean the stadium. The reason given for his firing is he was supposed to be... working, not getting autographs.
Christian was near the area where the players arrive to the stadium. Beneath his cleaner's uniform, he sported the Argentina national team jersey.
Messi was the last person off Inter Miami's bus. When Salamanca saw him, he pulled up his uniform to reveal the shirt underneath and presented Leo with a marker to sign it.
"Security came right away, they took me out and fired me from my job, but it was worth every second!" the now-unemployed man explained.
Apparently, anyone working at the stadium, whether an MLS side's employee or an outside contractor, is expressly prohibited from asking the Argentine for autographs and selfies.
But, let's be honest, who would resist the temptation to ask the GOAT for one?
