Man United reject Everton's offer for Maguire loan move
Man United have turned down Everton’s offer to sign Harry Maguire on loan this season, claims journalist Alan Nixon.
The Toffees are ready to sign him on a short-term deal to solve their defensive issues and were ready to cover £50,000-a-week of his weekly salary.
This is thought to be one-fourth of his current wages at Old Trafford, which is also probably why the Red Devils turned it down.
West Ham United are now monitoring the situation and might come back for him after failing to see their proposed £30m move go through.
Maguire is ready to fight for his place at Man United and was likely to reject Everton’s offer because of how much of a downgrade that move would be for his caree.
The Englishman is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for the Red Devils and is well behind in the centre-back pecking order.
