Man United agree personal terms with Cucurella - only obstacle to loan move revealed
Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with Marc Cucurella on personal terms, Fabrizio Romano reports.
"Man United won’t negotiate for any other left back now — as they want to get Cucurella deal done with Chelsea ASAP," he added.
The Red Devils earlier submitted a proposal for a loan deal to Chelsea. The Blues have responded to the proposal and the clubs will continue negotiations.
Romano said that United's loan fee is "in excess of £2m; Chelsea want more." However, the Blues are said to be requesting for £7 million which could be the only obstacle.
United’s offer is for an initial loan and the clubs are discussing various parameters around that.
The Spain international left-back is viewed at Old Trafford as a good fit for manager Erik ten Hag's system and at present he is the top candidate.
