Lionel Messi Names His 10 Favorite Teammates
Barcelona and Argentina legend Lionel Messi has named his 10 favorite teammates from throughout his football career.
Messi began his professional career at Barcelona, where he scored an astonishing 672 goals in 778 appearances and established himself as one of the greatest footballers of all time. He then spent two years at Paris Saint-Germain, before joining Inter Miami in MLS this year.
In an interview with Titan Sports, Messi named his favorite teammates, which included a number of other Barcelona legends such as Ronaldinho, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, and Samuel Eto'o. He also mentioned former PSG teammates Neymar and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as well as David Villa.
Messi said that he was "lucky enough to play with the best players, with the best strikers," and that he had "been comfortable playing with all of them, or almost all of them." He added that "playing with them is easy."
Messi will now be looking to forge some strong partnerships with his Inter Miami teammates as he looks to help the team improve their position in the MLS Eastern Conference table. The 36-year-old has three goals and an assist in two Leagues Cup matches for his new team, but the side are bottom of the Eastern Conference with the worst record of any team in the MLS in 2023.
