Kylian Mbappe 'expected to extend PSG contract to 2025' in extraordinary U-turn

In an incredible turn of events, PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe looks set to stay at the French giants, and even extend his current deal with the reigning Ligue 1 champions

Kylian Mbappe will stay at PSG and extended his deal until 2025 in an extraordinary turn of events to the saga of the summer, say reports.

Mbappe had looked set to leave PSG, with Real Madrid seemingly his ideal destination. However, Los Blancos never made an official approach for Mbappe - but PSG did accept an offer from Saudi Arabia, which Mbappe rejected.

The Frenchman was even banished from first team training, but he's now been reinstated into the first-team picture. And just hours after news emerged Mbappe was back training with the main squad, he now looks set to extended his stay in Paris.

According to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol, Mbappe will remain at PSG this summer. He tweeted: "Kylian Mbappe will stay and play for PSG this season. Big win for PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi after standoff with his star player.

"Mbappe now expected to extend PSG contract to 2025. Means he can’t move to Real Madrid for nothing next summer. Al-Khelaifi told PSG squad this morning 'Kylian is committed to PSG. Kylian is back'."

On Sunday PSG said: "Following very constructive and positive discussions between Paris St-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG - Lorient game, the player has been reinstated into the first team training squad this morning."

PSG have already lost one star player this window in the form of Lionel Messi, who moved to the MLS with Inter Miami.

The Parisian giants are also preparing for a potential future without Neymar, who has told his management team he wants out of PSG. Mbappe's return could be timely after PSG kicked off their Ligue 1 campaign with a 0-0 draw against Lorient on Saturday night.
