it made me bad': LFC Striker Nunez reveals he is staying away from social media.
Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has revealed that he decided to abstain from using social media due to the affect it was having on his game.
“I used to live watching the (social media) networks, it made me bad," he told Sport 890.
“They say they keep criticising me, but I don't see anything, I am working in silence and things are working for me. For me, let them speak what they want, my head is fine.
"The coach is the one who decides who plays and I respect his opinion. I continue to work in silence, whatever minutes touch me, I will go in, do my job and try to do my best.”
During a decent first season at Liverpool, Nunez did take some flak from rival fans on social media but a step away from is probably recommended for anyone under such limelight and scrutiny as he is.
If his explosive performance against Newcastle is a product of that, Liverpool fans would be hoping he keeps doing exactly what he's doing during his time at the club.
