Chelsea player ratings vs Dortmund: Jackson shows promise, Burstow strikes

Chelsea drew 1-1 with Borussia Dortmund in their final pre-season match of the summer, with Mason Burstow's late strike securing a draw for the Blues.

Kepa Arrizabalaga made a brave early intervention to deny Marius Wolf, but the German side took the lead in the second half through Wolf's header.

Chelsea responded well and Burstow equalised with a poacher's finish in the 89th minute.

Here are the player ratings:

Kepa Arrizabalaga: 6 - Made a good save early on but was beaten by Wolf's header.

Reece James: 5 - Steady but unspectacular performance.

Thiago Silva: 6 - Solid as ever at the back.

Levi Colwill: 6 - Another good performance from the young defender.

Ben Chilwell: 6 - Combined well with Mudryk in the second half.

Enzo Fernandez: 5 - Quiet performance but picked out some good passes.

Conor Gallagher: 5 - Similar to Fernandez, didn't exert too much control in midfield.

Raheem Sterling: 6 - Drew some fouls and showed good pace in the second half.

Carney Chukwuemeka: 6 - Could have scored but saw his shot saved. Pressed well.

Nicolas Jackson: 7 - Kept his composure well to find Chukwuemeka and showed good feet throughout the half.

Mykhailo Mudryk: 7 - Drew a murmur of excitement from the crowd every time he was on the ball.

Marc Cucurella: 6 - Made a couple of good challenges but was unfortunate to see a challenge almost play a Dortmund striker through.

Bashir Humphreys: 6 - Assured performance alongside Colwill.

Ian Maatsen: 6 - Showed his versatility by playing behind the striker.

Malo Gusto: 6 - Showed a good turn of pace in his defensive work.

Lewis Hall: 5 - Didn't have time to make much of an impact.
