Chelsea 'offer' Arsenal swap deal for Emile Smith Rowe as Mykhailo Mudryk rumours emerge online

Chelsea have reportedly offered Arsenal a fascinating swap deal for Emile Smith Rowe.

The Blues have added the Gunners midfielder to their list of potential additions this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to sign another attacking player before the transfer deadline slams shut on Friday.

That's according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Chelsea are also weighing up moves for Barcelona duo Ferran Torres and Raphinha. While Sporting Lisbon winger Marcus Edwards is also thought to be on the west London club's radar.

Smith Rowe endured an injury-stricken 2022-23 campaign and has struggled to reclaim his place in the side, with the England international yet to play a single minute for Mikel Arteta's side this season.

The 23-year-old has previously been the subject of interest from Aston Villa earlier in the window, but Arteta recently insisted Smith Rowe remains firmly part of his plans moving forward.

A separate report from the Daily Mail states that Chelsea would be willing "to include players as a sweetener in any deal with Arsenal".

In turn, rumours have circulated regarding whether Mykhailo Mudryk could be used as part of player exchange deal, with the Ukranian on the cusp of joining Arsenal back in January.

Some supporters may be against such a deal, though, after he appeared to snub the Gunners in favour of a move to Stamford Bridge at the last moment.

Meanwhile, it is unlikely Arteta would be willing to sanction a sale to a direct Premier League rival, with the Spaniard suggesting he had a bright future at the Emirates back in April.

"He's pushing, and in football what you did a year ago, a month ago is not important, it's about what you do now, what you do yesterday and what you do tomorrow," Arteta said.

"The player has to have that mindset and the contribution has to be now to the team has to make us better and to make us win games. He's very close."
