Allegri: Juventus Open to Consider 'Impossible to Refuse Bids' for Vlahovic Amidst Chelsea's Offer
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has acknowledged that the club may find it difficult to reject lucrative bids for their Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The 23-year-old forward has attracted interest from Chelsea, who are reportedly willing to offer Romelu Lukaku, a player currently out of favor at Chelsea, along with an additional sum of up to £38.5m in exchange for the Juventus star.
Chelsea has reignited talks with Juventus concerning the potential sale of Romelu Lukaku, just two years after his return to the club for a then-club record transfer fee of £97.5m.
Allegri expressed contentment with his existing squad at Juventus but admitted that the club could be compelled to make a decision regarding Vlahovic if the offer proves enticing enough.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Juventus boss stated, "I'm happy with the players we have, but we will evaluate bids that are impossible to refuse due to the financial situation. I will adapt to the club's choice, as always."
Earlier this year, Juventus faced repercussions from the Italian Football Federation for alleged "financial irregularities" and "false accounting" relating to past transfer dealings. Although the initial 15-point deduction was later restored on appeal, Juventus still incurred a 10-point deduction, which resulted in them losing their spot in the Champions League.
Consequently, Juventus finished in seventh place, securing a spot in the Europa Conference League, but even that participation was revoked after they breached financial fair play rules, leading to a €20 million fine.
During the last season, Vlahovic managed to score 10 goals in 27 appearances despite facing challenges with form and fitness. Despite these concerns, Chelsea, particularly under the admiration of manager Mauricio Pochettino, is willing to take a risk on the striker's potential.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku had initially been linked with a return to Inter Milan this summer after a successful loan spell last season, where he scored 10 goals in 25 Serie A games. However, Inter's interest waned after learning about Lukaku's talks with Juventus. Nevertheless, Lukaku himself appeared doubtful about the move to their domestic rivals when confronted by an Inter fan. He laughed off a request to support Juventus and expressed uncertainty about the deal going through.
