Ten Hag Gives Non-Committal Answer on Greenwood's Future

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has given a non-committal answer on the future of Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood has been suspended by the club since January 2022 after being arrested on suspicion of rape, assault, and threats to kill. He was later released on bail, but the charges against him were dropped in February 2023.

Ten Hag was asked about Greenwood's future in an interview on friday. He said that the decision on whether or not to bring Greenwood back into the squad is a "club decision."

"I said my opinions, but it's a club decision and we have to accept that," Ten Hag said. "Would I want to keep Mason? I can't say."

Ten Hag's comments suggest that he is not yet sure what the club will do with Greenwood. The decision is likely to be a complex one, as it will involve weighing up Greenwood's footballing ability against the severity of the allegations against him.
