Man United reject West Ham's loan offer for dethroned captain Maguire
According to The Guardian, Man United have knocked back West Ham United’s offer to sign Harry Maguire on loan for the 2023/24 season.
The Red Devils are not entertaining the prospect of sending him out on loan after stripping the Englishman of the captaincy.
West Ham were willing to sign him on loan with an option to make it permanent next year.
But Man United are ready to hold their ground – even though their rumoured £50m asking price for Maguire is considered as overly expensive by many.
The English centre-back could be forced to leave Old Trafford after being told that he is not a part of Erik ten Hag’s long-term plans.
At this point, it’s unknown whether Man United’s stance on selling Maguire will soften or if they will entertain the idea of loaning him out.
