Inter Milan End Talks With Chelsea Over Lukaku
Inter Milan have ended negotiations with Chelsea over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, according to reports. The Belgian striker was expected to return to the San Siro this summer, but Inter have now pulled the plug on the deal.
The decision comes after Inter were informed that Lukaku had been in talks with Juventus. Inter are also interested in signing the 29-year-old and are furious that he would consider a move to their rivals.
Lukaku's agent, Federico Pastorello, has been trying to broker a deal between Inter and Chelsea for several weeks, but the two clubs have been unable to agree on a fee.
With the deal now off, Lukaku's future is uncertain. He could still move to Juventus, but the Old Lady would only be able to afford him if they sell Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker is valued at around £80 million, so Juventus would need to raise a significant amount of money before they could make a move for Lukaku.
If Lukaku does not end up at Juventus, he could also move to Saudi Arabia. There have been reports that Al Nassr are willing to pay £20 million for the striker, which would be a record fee for the Saudi Arabian league.
