Chelsea ace Mykhailo Mudryk spotted ordering a McDonald's after Euro U21s quest
Mykhailo Mudryk has made a wretched start to life at Chelsea, but he's looked bright at the U21 European Championships this month, much to the relief of Blues fans
Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk has been spotted at a McDonald's in Romania ahead of his return to pre-season training.
The Ukrainian has been competing at the U-21 European Championships for the past fortnight and played a major role in getting his nation to the semi-finals of the tournament.
On Wednesday they were knocked out after losing 5-1 to Spain, and it looks as if Mudryk turned to a little comfort eating to help swallow the pill.
He was seen in white t-shirt and cream trousers scrolling through the menu on one of the restaurant's self-service boards, much to the bewilderment of locals in Bucharest, the nation's capital.
The £70m speedster, who joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, was on top form in the tournament, providing a couple of impressive assists and inspiring unexpected victories over the likes of France and Croatia.
Despite being a regular in Ukraine's senior team, Mudryk make himself available for selection for the U21 Euros in a bid to recapture some of the confidence he'd lost during what had been a miserable first half-season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea supported his decision, even though it meant he would miss the start of pre-season.

The 22-year-old winger made 17 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season, most of which came from the substitute's bench, and failed to net a single goal.
Despite turning heads on his debut against Liverpool in February, a run of poor form saw Mudryk lose his place in the side and his confidence quickly began to drain.
A horror miss against Manchester United in May summed up his torrid start, though the Blues remain confident he can discover the kind of form that made them pay a fee that could end up rising to £89m for him.
