Bernardo Silva marries stunning Wag Ines Tomaz in front of his Man City teammates
Manchester City's Bernardo Silva tied the knot with stunning model Ines Tomaz in Portugal yesterday in front of a host of his Treble-winning team-mates.
The 250 guests included the likes of Ruben Dias and the defender's singer ex April Ivy and Kyle Walker.
Joao Felix, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Chelsea before returning to Atletico Madrid, also attended along with his actress and model ex Margarida Corceiro, who has recently been linked to F1 star Lando Norris.
The ceremony and celebration took place at a hilltop hotel and winery on a 120-hectare vineyard estate in the Douro Valley an hour and a half’s drive inland from Porto.
Silva’s City pals Walker, Riyad Mahrez and Joao Cancelo, who is returning to Man City after Bayern Munich decided against buying the Portuguese international, watched on as pregnant Ines said "I do" in an Oscar de la Renta wedding dress.
Silva, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, opted for a suit by bespoke Lisbon-based tailors Rosa & Teixeira.
The footballer’s singer sister Maria Carvalho e Silva, 33, performed at the celebration after the formal ceremony with Bernardo showing his skills transcend the pitch by joining her on stage briefly and surprising guests with an ably-performed duo.
It emerged in February Bernardo, 28, and Ines, 25, were set to marry in their homeland at the start of July.
The Lisbon-born model showed off her engagement ring in May last year after revealing she had accepted a marriage proposal from the midfield maestro.
She flew to Miami earlier this year for a hen do with friends and in April the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
They published the same photo on their Instagrams with the identical message: “We can’t wait to meet you. The best is yet to come.”
Silva confirmed in May 2020 he had found love again with Ines after his split from French model Alicia Verrando.
Ines, whose full name is Ines Degener Tomaz, went public with their relationship by posting footage on her Instagram of the footballer with his arms round her on a beach.
The playmaker responded with his own photo, showing them oozing happiness and looking tanned and relaxed at a dinner table.
The couple’s love blossomed during the coronavirus lockdown which they spent with friends in a large house near Lisbon.
Ines, whose equally attractive sister Mariana represented Portugal at Miss Global 2017, posted a selfie of her showing off her engagement ring as she cuddled up to her partner when she revealed they were engaged and wrote: “Forever YES. My endless love.”
She finished her romantic message with heart and ring emoticons.
She added in a separate confirmation: “YES, a thousand times YES.”
The footballer posted an identical message, and the first person to respond on his social media was Ruben Dias’ ex April Ivy.
She wrote: “I’m so happy for you, hurrah for the bride and groom.”
The loved-up couple have been living in Manchester together with their two dogs Charles and John, a French bulldog named after Bernardo’s team-mate John Stones..
