Arsenal Star Zinchenko to Lead Charity Football Match for Ukraine Reconstruction

Arsenal star and Ukrainian international Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to take on AC Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko in an 11-a-side charity football match on August 5th at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge. The match, which will be called Game4Ukraine, will feature some of the biggest names in world sport, including former Manchester United and Chelsea star John Terry, current Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta, and Ukrainian national team captain Andriy Yarmolenko.

100% of the funds raised by Game4Ukraine will be donated towards rebuilding the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky School in Chernihiv Oblast, which was heavily damaged by missiles during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The school was a vital part of the community and its reconstruction will guarantee that children have a safe and sanitary space to learn.

Zinchenko said of the match: "It's incredible to see the world of football come together to help us raise vital funds to start rebuilding our beautiful country."

Shevchenko added: "This is a special match for all of us involved. We want to show the world that Ukraine is strong and united, and that we will not give up until our country is rebuilt."

Tickets for Game4Ukraine are now on sale and can be purchased at www.game4ukraine.com. All proceeds will go towards the reconstruction of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky School.

The match is being organized by the Ukraine House DC Foundation, a non-profit organization that is working to support Ukraine during the ongoing conflict. The foundation is also working to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by the war.

Game4Ukraine is just one of the many ways that the football community is coming together to support Ukraine. In recent months, clubs and players have donated millions of dollars to humanitarian relief efforts, and they have also used their platforms to raise awareness of the war.
