'World's sexiest footballer' Alisha Lehmann tops list of top 10 biggest sport crushes

 Alisha Lehmann has been named as sports biggest crush with the footballer amassing the most searches on Google over a two-year period, according to new research

Aston Villa Women's striker Alisha Lehmann has been named as sports' most fancied woman - after research showed she was sports most Googled star.

Lehmann has over 13.3million followers on Instagram - and she mixes snaps from her life with training videos for Villa. A recent series of snaps - alongside a busty ex-WAG earned the star over 1.7million likes.

And according to research by Spin Genie, who conducted research on the amount of Google searches followed by the word "hot", no one came close to Lehmann. Over the last two years, there has been over 491,000 searches for the blonde star.

Emma Raducanu finished second in the rankings, but she was almost 150,000 searches down on Lehmann - with the Brit amassing 360,630 searches.

Raducanu has struggled to replicate the form that shot her into the imagination of the British public in 2021 - when she wowed fans with her Wimbledon run and US Open win. And it's two more tennis stars who follow Raducanu, with Camila Giorgi and Serena Williams 3rd and 4th.

Giorgi, who is also a lingerie model, recently starred at Roland Garros - and she narrowly edged out Williams to the podium with the Italian acquiring 251,400 searches, while Williams had 249,500.

Alex Morgan rounds out the top five - and both Morgan and Lehmann will soon be back in action at the 2023 Women's World Cup. Festivities kick off in Australia and New Zealand next month as New Zealand take on Norway in Auckland.

Lehmann is first in action, when the Swiss play the Philippines on Friday 21 July. While Morgan's US side open their campaign against Vietnam the following day.

Morgan and Lehmann are the only two footballers to make it into the top 25, with tennis proving to be the most popular sport with seven stars on the list.
