West Ham players make a splash enjoying waterpark log flume before European final
West Ham players were spotted enjoying a day out at a waterpark in Portugal ahead of the Conference League final.
The Hammers players received some downtime away from the weighted expectations on their shoulders heading into the club’s first final for 43 years and their first European cup final since 1976.
David Moyes’ side face Italian outfit Fiorentina in the final in Prague on June 7, but just a week before their biggest game this century, the players were seen chanting and shouting in a waterpark in the Algarve.
Footage shows West Ham stars twisting and turning their way around on a boat ride whilst chanting “Oh Said Benrahma” towards their Algerian team-mate who was on the ride.
Irons fans took to social media to laugh at their ace’s entertainment with one fan commenting: “A guy sent me this over on Instagram, looks like the lads are having fun!”
Whilst a second comment read: “Took me a while to realise this wasn’t just a bunch of lads singing ‘ohh Said Benrahma’ and was indeed West Ham players.” And a third said: “This is f***ing class!”
Not all of Moyes’ squad opted to spend their day off at the waterpark as captain Declan Rice was joined by Flynn Downes, Danny Ings and Aaron Cresswell on the golf course in the Algarve to relax in a different way before their big final.
West Ham last celebrated major European success in 1965 as they beat 1860 Munich to win the Cup Winners’ Cup, a second-half double from Alan Sealey sealed the Irons' success. But they were beaten 4-2 in the 1976 final by Anderlecht.
The Irons' arduous Premier League season saw them eventually move clear of any relegation trouble in the final games of the season as they turned their sole focus onto the Conference League – beating AZ Alkmaar 3-1 on aggregate to reach the final.

Fiorentina are currently 9th in the Serie A this season with one game still to play.
But L Viola also have history in Europe – beating Rangers to win the 1961 European Cup Winners’ Cup.
