West Ham fans and players go berserk partying into the night after historic win
West Ham fans and players have gone berserk partying into the night following their historic Europa Conference League win.
The Irons defeated Italian side Fiorentina in the final in Prague, with Jarrod Bowen's last-minute winner clinching their first major trophy in 43 years. This was the Hammers' first major trophy in all competitions since the FA Cup in 1980 and their first major European title since 1965.
David Moyes celebrated the first major honour of his 25-year managerial career in a touching moment with his father, 87, before showing off his 'dad dancing' skills and singing along to Hammers fans' X-rated Dani Dyer song, then blasting out the Proclaimers' classic I Wanna Be while getting splattered with beer in the dressing room.
More than 20,000 supporters had spent the day partying in the Czech capital's Old Town Square, despite the London side only being allocated 6,000 tickets for the match. And last night they poured onto the streets of Prague and partied into the late hours after their historic win over Fiorentina, with chants of “2-1 to the cockney boys” and “Irons” also breaking out.
Dave Harrison, 49, from Kettering, Nottinghamshire, said: "It's the greatest night of my life. I love this club and now we're part of history. This city is claret and blue tonight."
West Ham fan Aaron, 18, said it felt “unreal” to win: "It’s unreal, never felt like it in my life,” he said. He said his plan for the rest of the night was to “stumble back to the hotel”.
Some fans travelled far and wide to make it to Prague, with electrician Craig Barnett, 45, and his retail worker pal Steve Price, 51, embarking on a 36-hour drive across France and Germany.
Craig, from Milton Keynes, boarded the ferry at Dover before spending the night in Mainz, Germany, before finishing the journey today.

He said: "After leaving home at 7.15am on Tuesday morning we started the 1,100km trip to Prague.
"The distance didn’t matter and with every kilometre covered we were closer to being involved with the West Ham family.
"We've made it to Prague and are absolutely buzzing to be here to soak up the atmosphere before our first European final for 47 years."
However, it wasn't just the fans who celebrated the win in style - and the West Ham players also partied into the night to the tune of "Bowen's on fire".
Footage from the players' Instagram pages did the rounds on social media with the jubilant players dancing in the changing rooms.
Michail Antonio shared a video from inside of their hotel, with "Freed From Desire" blasting in the background, as confetti could be seen falling from the ceiling.

Another video emerged of Hammers players partying outside the hotel, once again dancing to "Freed from Desire" as star Alphonse Areola held a speaker aloft above his head.
Scottish boss Moyes was spotted loving every moment of the celebrations, and fans poked fun at his 'dad dancing'. "Moyes dad dancing, Alphonse holding the speaker aloft, scenes," a fan joked. Moyes had a touching personal moment on the pitch when he gave his elderly father a winners' medal.
Celebrities also joined in with the celebrations, with goalscorer Bowen's partner and former Love Island winner Dani Dyer sharing a heartfelt message, before her dad Danny later commented on the cheeky song sung in tribute to his son-in-law.
Taking to her Instagram Stories just moments on from West Ham clinching the trophy, the mum-of-three posted a snap of Jarrod conducting a post-match interview and shared her happiness.
"So proud," Dani captioned the shot of her TV, alongside a crying-face emoji and trio of love hearts.
West Ham fans back home partied in the streets of Essex and east London, with pub gardens full to the brim with jubilant fans celebrating the club's historic triumph.
