Walker set to leave City after seven years, talks with Bayern ongoing
Bayern Munich are in talks with Manchester City to sign Kyle Walker, according to reports.
The 33-year-old defender, who has a year remaining on his contract, played a crucial role in securing a historic treble for City.
But his seven-year stay at the club is set to come to and end this summer according to The Athletic, who claim he is in talks with Bayern.
A deal between the two clubs is yet to be agreed but the fee 'isn't expected to be an issue' and there is still a 'bit of work to do' to finalise the deal.
Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is on the hunt for a new right-back with Benjamin Pavard reportedly heading for the exit and Joao Cancelo set to return to City from his loan spell.
Walker is said to be unhappy after being dropped from the starting XI in the Champions League final on Saturday.
He admitted being 'disappointed' after he was left out for the clash with Inter Milan, which City won 1-0 to complete their treble.
Since arriving from Tottenham in 2016, Walker has won 12 trophies, including five Premier Leagues and the UCL, in 254 games.
Reflecting on what could be his final trophy in Istanbul, the defender said: 'We couldn't work as hard as we did all season to throw it away.
'The lads dug deep. I got a silver medal last time, so to have a gold one is fantastic.
'I am living the dream. My mum and dad were in the stands. Where I come from in Sheffield it's not easy for them to be here. I remember when mum didn't have a pound for the ice cream van. I am so thankful.
'I am over the moon and very rarely speechless but my dream has just come true. To achieve this with this club, after everything they have done for all of us over the years, to win the Treble is unbelievable.'
