Pep Guardiola's Man City goal celebration becomes 'instant meme' as he dances wildly

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City celebration became an “instant meme” after he let loose with some wild dancing.

The City manager went one step closer to clinching a historic treble on Saturday after beating rivals Manchester United 2-1 to lift the FA Cup. It marked a staggering 16th trophy for City over the last 13 seasons to cap off a dominant run in English football.

And it was particularly clear just how much a victory meant to the Spaniard after Ilkay Gundogan scored his second volley of the afternoon to put City ahead once more.

Guardiola celebrated Gundogan’s 51st minute strike by jumping up and down while performing a skipping motion with his arms.

The City boss continued to express his pure joy by flailing his arms and fist pumping repeatedly.

Fans of the Premier League and now-FA Cup champions were left gushing and took to Twitter to show their adoration for the manager.

One Twitter user wrote: “PEP GUARDIOLA'S VICTORY DANCE IS TOPNOTCH,” while another tweeted: “Pep's little celebration dance was 10/10.”

A third wrote: “That Pep celebration is getting memed,” and a fourth added: “Pep doing the daddest dad dance ever.”

A fifth asked: “Why was Pep celebrating like it’s a TikTok dance?” and another pleaded: “Someone turn that Guardiola dance into a gif.”

It’s not the first time Guardiola has shown off his questionable dancing this season. The 52-year-old was spotted busting some groovy moves during the Premier League title celebrations in May.

And fans can expect to see a whole lot more if City end up securing a historic treble against Inter Milan next week.
