Thousands welcome Europa Conference League winners West Ham on victorious bus parade in London
West Ham reaped the rewards of their spectacular Europa Conference League final victory by enjoying a bus parade in London.
The Hammers won their first major trophy in over 40 years by dramatically beating Fiorentina 2-1 in Prague on Wednesday night.
They initially took the lead on the hour mark thanks to Said Benrahma’s stunning penalty, though their Italian opponents promptly responded with a goal of their own courtesy of Giacomo Bonaventura. David Moyes’ side left it late in the day but managed to clinch a 90th minute winner after Jarrod Bowen slotted it past the goalkeeper to mark a historic night for the east Londoners.
And after a long night of partying, the Hammers heroes returned to the UK on Thursday for an open-top parade through the streets of east London. Crowds gathered to see the trophy winners, as the bus made its way from Barking Road all the way to Stratford Town Hall.
