Ronaldo's son 'DJ Ronald' swapped football for spinning decks at Ibiza clubs
Just like his father Ronaldo Nazario, the legendary World Cup winning striker, Ronald is also a hit with the Brazilian public, only in a completely different field of work to his dad
Living in the shadow of a famous athlete could be hard for some children to handle.
But not for Brazilian icon Ronaldo Nazario's son 'DJ Ronald'.
While the legendary striker is better known for his exploits on the pitch, notably when he fired Brazil to World Cup glory back in 2002, Ronald, his son, is better known for spinning decks in Ibiza.
The son of the former Real Madrid forward is a DJ, who has amassed over 340,000 fans on Instagram as well as millions of streams on Spotify.
Back in 2022, he even played to 60,000 fans before Cruzerio's Serie B promotion crunch match against Vasco da Gama, in an effort to hype up the crowd beforehand.
And thankfully for Ronald, and father Ronaldo, who owns a controlling stake in the Brazilian club, Cruzerio went on to win the game 3-0, earning them promotion to Brazil's top flight - Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A.
Dubbed the 'original Ronaldo', R9's party days are well known, and look to have played a factor is Ronald's decision to pursue a career in music.
During his childhood, the Brazilian DJ was around plenty of music due to his father's taste, something which Ronaldo believes made up Ronald's mind.
"He's an amazing DJ and he's in Brazil,"
"It's my fault, I used to play CDs all the time.
"He grew up seeing me playing lots of music and he became a DJ. He's very good, he plays electronic music. In Brazil and everywhere they call him.
"Last year he played in Ibiza for three different clubs."
