Richard Keys marries daughter's friend 32 years his junior - who he left wife for

Ex-Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has tied the knot with his daughter's friend Lucie Rose, 32 years his junior. The couple got married in a private ceremony in London on Saturday.

Keys, 62, and Rose first met in 2016 when she was working as a lawyer in Doha, Qatar, where Keys was living at the time. They began dating shortly after Keys' marriage to his wife of 34 years, Julia, broke down amid allegations of an affair between Keys and Rose.

Julia Keys has since spoken out about the affair, saying that it "devastated" her life and adversely affected her daughter Jemma's battle with alcoholism. Keys has denied that he left his wife for Rose, but has admitted to having an affair with her.

According to The Sun, Keys said: “I’m a very lucky man, although feeling a bit nervous.

“We’re heading off to Canada for our honeymoon which is a bit different.

“Then it’s back to work for both of us in August and the start of the football season for me.

“People think I might be a bit long in the tooth now but I don’t care.”

In a statement released after the wedding, Keys said that he and Rose were "very happy" and that they were "looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together." Rose said that she was "overwhelmed" by the support she had received from Keys' family and friends.

The wedding comes at a time when Keys is trying to rebuild his career after being relieved from Sky Sports in 2011 for sexist remarks about female colleagues. He now works as a presenter for beIN Sports in Qatar.

The marriage has been met with mixed reactions online, with some people congratulating the couple and others expressing their disapproval.
