Man Utd player takes aim at Rio Ferdinand and Man City after Champions League final

Brandon Williams was the first Manchester United player to react to Manchester City winning the Champions League - aiming a dig at his club's fierce rivals.

City defeated Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul to lift the trophy for the first time in the club's history.

Rodri's 68th-minute goal was enough for Pep Guardiola's side - although the Spanish midfielder was brutally honest about how he played in the match during his post-game interview.

City had to withstand late Inter pressure, including a point-blank header from Romelu Lukaku that was hit straight at goalkeeper Ederson.

The Italians had earlier hit the crossbar through Federico Dimarco, and gave City plenty of challenges before the only goal of the contest.

There were emotional reactions from the club's stars after the game, including Jack Grealish, who described the success as "so special".

City won the trophy in front of club owner Sheikh Mansour, who was attending his first competitive game since a 3-0 win over Liverpool in 2010.

Not everyone, however, was pleased with the result - including one United player.

Williams reacts to Man City win

Taking to Instagram after the game, Williams posted a blurred out image to his Story, accompanied with the caption: "Nobody likes sloppy seconds." He added three red devil emojis to the post - representing one of United's club nicknames.

City became the second club, after United, to complete the treble of winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

It is 24 years since Sir Alex Ferguson's side defeated Bayern Munich at Camp Nou to secure the historic feat, with Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scoring goals in injury time.

Williams then turned his attention towards United legend Rio Ferdinand, who is working on the final as a pundit for BT Sport, for congratulating City players on their success.

He wrote: "Bet you don't congratulate if you was player keep the same morals. Too face [sic] are boring."
