Man United star's holiday ruined as Man City treble-winners turn up in same Ibiza hotel
Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez might just be having the holiday from hell after City treble-winners turned up at the same Ibiza hotel he was staying in.
City jetted back to Manchester on Sunday after being crowned champions of Europe following a 1-0 win over Inter Milan in Istanbul.
Reports say City hired out Chinese restaurant Tattu for a meal on the evening but only Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Stefan Ortega were present.
Instead, the Daily Mail say that many of the players, including the likes of Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish, had chartered a private jet to the party island of Ibiza to continue celebrations.
They hired out an entire floor at the popular adults-only Ushuaia resort in Playa d'en Bossa, with rooms typically costing £550 per night.
Martinez, who missed the end of the season for United with injury, was in the very same hotel with friends but it's unclear if there was an awkward meeting between rivals.
It was only a brief 12-hour trip for City's treble heroes, with the players given permission to keep partying as long as they were back in time for the parade through the streets of Manchester city centre on Monday evening, which gets underway at 6:30pm.
Grealish is known for lapping up the celebrations after getting his hands on a trophy and his recent antics have not disappointed.
The former Aston Villa captain first gatecrashed Kevin De Bruyne's interview in the mixed zone by blasting out Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac on a speaker.
But the £100 million man did look a little worse for wear when he arrived in Manchester as he staggered away from the plane at the airport.
With little, if any, sleep, we look forward to see what state Grealish will be on the open-top bus parade.
