Fans have asked “where’s Knollsy” after a video emerged of Fiorentina fans allegedly attacking West Ham supporters ahead of their Europa Conference League final.

The two sides were preparing to battle it out on the pitch in Prague when footage emerged on social media of fans wearing West Ham colours brawling with what is believed to be rival supporters.

Footage was posted by Sky Sports News correspondent Rob Harris on Twitter, who claimed eyewitnesses said a group of Italian fans with fireworks and weapons attacked the Irons cohort.

The clip seemingly showed masked men clashing with Hammers fans on a street in Prague, with a red flare being thrown in their direction. West Ham supporters could be seen retaliating by throwing chairs, leaving the street covered in broken glass and rubble.

Riot police eventually moved in to separate the groups, while Sky Sports News reported police have arrested more than 30 individuals following the incident.

The outbreak of violence led fans on Twitter to jokingly ask where Chris ‘Knollsy’ Knoll was during the attack. The 58-year-old bruiser rose to fame and was hailed a hero for holding off AZ Alkmaar ultras who attacked Irons fans during a fixture in the same competition last month.

One Twitter user wrote: “Where's Knollsy when you need him.”

Another joked: “Knollsy getting ready to fight on the frontline again.”

And a third asked: “Where’s ur hero West Ham ??”

It comes after Knollsy told the Mail that he was prepared to defend his fellow supporters again if tensions boiled once more ahead of Wednesday night’s clash, heaving been gifted tickets to the Wednesday’s final by West Ham executives for his heroic act.

"I hope there's no trouble here, because I might have to do it all again,” he said.

"I have to say it again, but I only did what would've been expected. There were women and children and they could've been attacked.

"I acted instinctively, although I had a feeling there was something bad in the air before."
