Danny Dyer 'a bit jealous' of daughter Dani after Jarrod Bowen's West Ham winner
Danny Dyer has joked that he loves Jarrod Bowen more than his own wife following the forward's West Ham heroics in Prague - adding that he is a tad jealous of daughter Dani
Danny Dyer has joked that he is jealous of daughter Dani thanks to his love for West Ham's Conference League hero Jarrod Bowen.
The former Eastenders star didn't hold back in professing his love for the forward after he scored the winning goal for David Moyes men in Prague - with Bowen also in a relationship with his eldest child.
The couple, who celebrated the birth of twins earlier this year, got together back in 2021 and have gone from strength to strength with the support of her father.
A tongue-in-cheek Dyer told talkSPORT this week: "I don't think I could love a man any more. It's always a weird thing 'cos it's your daughter and they fall in love with people you don't usually like.
"She brought home Jarrod Bowen. I think I love Jarrod more than my own wife. I'm a bit jealous of my daughter!
"No... I couldn't have written a better script to be honest with you."
Actor Danny, who starred in The Football Factory, The Business and Mean Machine among other flicks, is a die-hard Hammers fan having been born in Custom House.
He gave his thoughts on their silverware triumph while training for Soccer Aid, which takes place on June 11 at Manchester United's Old Trafford.
Daughter Dani wasn't in Prague for the match as she looked after her three children, but was the subject of plenty of attention thanks to a particular chant.
Beginning 'Bowen's on fire' before pointing at his intimate relations with the former Love Island star, the 26-year-old first reacted to the lyrics this week.
Following a caption by fellow WAG Summer Godbold read "I’m sorry Dani," with a crying face emoji, Dyer responded with three laughing faces to the song.

A fan commented on her Instagram post that they "felt for her" having to hear the chanting, to which Dani replied: “Oh, I don’t mind."
Bowen is set to stick around at West Ham next season with Moyes' side back in the Europa League, with Declan Rice on the brink of a departure.
The 24-year-old has his heart set on leaving the London Stadium according to co-owner David Sullivan, despite having two years left on his contract.
