Atletico Madrid to Build €15m Training Complex in Mexico
Atletico Madrid have expanded their project with Mexican affiliate club Atletico San Luis following the approval of a new €15m training complex.
The new complex will be located in the city of San Luis Potosi and will feature several football fields, as well as a sports science center and a youth academy.
The project is part of Atletico Madrid's long-term strategy to expand their global reach and to develop young talent from all over the world.
Atletico Madrid's CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin said: "This is a very important project for us. We want to help Atletico San Luis to become one of the leading clubs in Mexico and to develop young talent from the region."
Atletico San Luis president Jose Antonio Gonzalez said: "We are very excited about this project. It will help us to improve our facilities and to provide our players with the best possible environment to develop their skills."
The new training complex is expected to be completed in 2024.
In addition to the new training complex, Atletico Madrid and Atletico San Luis have also agreed to work together on a number of other areas, including marketing, youth development and commercial operations.
