More than six Chelsea stars have made it clear they want to leave the club this summer, according to reports.

The Blues are set for another summer of upheaval after a disastrous season which was chaotic both on and off the pitch. It came to a drab end with a 1-1 draw with Newcastle at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (May 28).

Interim boss Frank Lampard, who won just one of the 11 games he took charge of, has now officially been replaced by Mauricio Pochettino to mark a much-needed fresh.

But he and the board have their work cut out in the coming months to unite a squad severely lacking in motivation and confidence.

A number of outgoings are expected, with The Telegraph claiming "more than half-a-dozen" players have been "pretty open" with the desire to go around the training ground.

They go on to say Lampard had an extremely tricky time trying to rally the squad following their Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

That's expected to change under Pochettino, who is a notoriously hard trainer. The Argentine likes to push his players to their limits and has employed a variety of tactics to improve mentality during his managerial career, including having them walk over hot coals.

As for his transfer business, the likes of Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang look unlikely to stay, while club captain Cesar Azpilicueta may also be leaving.

Chelsea are believed to be targeting a goalkeeper, midfielder and striker in the market, with Todd Boehly's spending showing no sign of slowing down. Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte is one target, while a reunion for Pochettino with Harry Kane has been touted.
