Oliver Kahn has revealed he was banned from Bayern Munich's title celebrations after he was sacked as their CEO.
Bayern won the Bundesliga title for the 11th consecutive season on Saturday on a dramatic final day.
They went into the day behind Borussia Dortmund, but climbed above them thanks to their 2-1 win over Koln.
The Bayern stars went wild on the pitch at the full-time whistle.
However there was drama happening off the pitch, Kahn was removed from his role as CEO and has been replaced with Jan-Christian Dreesen, with Hasan Salihamidžić also being sacked as sporting director.
Following Bayern's triumph, he took to Twitter to congratulate them and mentioned why he couldn't celebrate with the title winners.
"Unbelievable! A big compliment and congratulations guys! I always told you so! Always give everything to the end and never give up. I am incredibly proud of you and this achievement!
"I would like to celebrate with you, but unfortunately I can't be with you today because the club has forbidden me.
"I'm looking forward to next season. We will not only be German champions for the 12th time! Let's celebrate!"
Kahn posted on the social media site again on Sunday to provide more clarity to the situation, saying he is 'disappointed' with president Herbert Hainer's decision.
"The claim that I freaked out when I was informed about the dismissal is definitely not true. I got a call from Herbert Hainer on Friday telling me about the decision.
"It was a calm and matter-of-fact conversation. I just wondered about this activism, why this decision was now brought forward. On Saturday morning I got the message that I can't go to the game. I accepted this decision calmly.
"Of course I'm disappointed, but I'm really happy about this championship and I'm happy for the team, the coach and our fans."
Former Bayern goalkeeper Kahn had been in his role as club CEO since July 2021, overseeing two Bundesliga titles and two DFL-Supercup triumphs.
Saturday saw the club win the German top flight for the 33rd time in their history, with their dominance showing no signs of slowing.
