Chelsea fans hail 'Agent Jorginho' for derailing Arsenal's Premier League title hopes

Chelsea can still cling onto the fact they are the only London team to win the Premier League in the last two decades.

Arsenal’s title collapse was confirmed on Saturday as their defeat at Nottingham Forest confirmed Man City as champions.

The Gunners spent 248 days at the top of the table, having a lead of 11 points at one stage, only to crumble in the final stages of the season.

Man City won 11 straight matches to seal the title and still have three games left to play, starting with their final home match of the season on Sunday to Chelsea.

Blues fans could not hide their delight at seeing London rivals Arsenal capitulate, leaving them still without a title since 2004.

Chelsea have won five titles over that period, the most recent of which came in the 2016/17 season.

It was made all the sweeter for them as midfielder Jorginho joined Arsenal in January when they were clear at the top of the table.

Chelsea fans on Twitter were loving the fact that ‘Agent Jorginho’ had helped them fail to win the title.

One said: “Agent Jorginho. You’re mission is over. Return to base.”

Another added: “Thank You agent Jorginho.”

One wrote: “Agent Jorginho, proper Chels.”

It appears that Arsenal losing the title is a crumb of comfort for Chelsea fans in what has been an otherwise miserable season for them.

They are currently in 12th place with their fourth different manager in charge.
