When Will Manchester City and Manchester United Face Off in the FA Cup Final?
A blockbuster FA Cup final is set to take place at the end of the season between Manchester City and Manchester United.
Pep Guardiola's men progressed through to the final after beating Championship side Sheffield United 3-0 - with Riyad Mahrez netting a hat-trick for City.
As for the Red Devils, United booked their place in the final after they defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 7-6 on penalties following a 0-0 draw in 120 minutes.
It means that both Manchester sides will meet in this year's final in June.
But when will the match be played? Have the two sides ever met in the FA Cup final before? Mail Sport provides all the answers below.
When is the FA Cup final?
This year's FA Cup final between City and United is set to take place on Saturday, June 3, at Wembley.
It will be the first time in the history of the competition that it will take place in June. This is because of the fixture disruption that was caused by the World Cup - which took place between November and December last year.
The clash between the two sides will be held a week before the Champions League final in Istanbul. Guardiola's men remain in the competition and could play in two finals in the space of a week.
The Red Devils will be looking to win their second trophy of the season after defeating Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final back in February.
A kick-off time for the final is yet to be confirmed by the FA. Last year's final between Liverpool and Chelsea got underway at 4.45pm.
How to watch
This year's final will be broadcast live on BBC and ITV. Fans will also be able to watch the game on their streaming platforms, BBC iPlayer and ITVX.
Tickets for the final are not yet on sale. Both clubs will receive a set allocation from the FA and will release information in the coming weeks.
Mail Sport will also be providing live coverage of Manchester City vs Manchester United, so you can keep up-to-date with all the latest developments here.
Have the two sides ever played each other in the final?
Despite both sides being successful in the competition over the years, they have never met in a final.
City and United have both met in the FA Cup before back in 2011. A Yay Toure goal was enough to give Roberto Mancini's City side the win in the semi-final.
They would then go on to defeat Stoke City 1-0 in the final thanks to a second-half strike from Toure.
